Don’t let anything stop your flow, be like water

The night before today, I wrote down a list of things to do for the top of the morning. Me and my partner, Kyle, have been working diligently creating this platform. As of late, we have experienced an increase in momentum laying out the foundation for ProductivePlace’s growth.

I’ve been feeling really good about this…you see we’ve been working on this project all last year…. but of course….. LIFE GETS IN THE WAY! Now that we have this precious momentum; it is good to take full advantage of it; and actually the fear of dropping the ball keeps me pushing forward.

BUT HERE’S HOW MY LUCK WORKS

Back to my to do list which I tried to optimize, sticking to only five tasks that I knew would absolutely be effective towards. I also had to do a few errands that weren’t aligned with my main objective like a little cleaning, fixing my dear mothers shower head, going to the gym, but if all is done…I would be on FIRE for the start of the day!

Cleaning was no problem at all…fixing mothers shower head; EPIC fail (water all over the place, disaster) we remembered I’m no plumber and a wrench is probably around me once every 5 years.

We delegated that task for maintenance, and I’m off to the gym. Pushing forward through my to do list, motivated, i went and hit the dreadful treadmill, curls for all the girls in the world, push-ups, sit-ups, great workout now time for business.

Obviously my laptop and the internet is essential to operate because of ProductivePlace being an online company, for some special reason my internet was slow as ever at my spot so i moved to another spot ( a cafe nearby ) for better service. And for some strange reason I’ve been constantly interrupted by small talk from people i don’t know. I’m a nice guy its not that i don’t care about your day, the weather, or whatever, just not right now.

Soon as i finish with one of the small convos from a random person i completely lost my train of thought on what had to be done for the company today, I was drawing a blank devastated for the moment until i remembered the to do list that i made the night before (Thank God!)
Then i noticed my laptop battery was dying no problem just hooked it up to my charger, then eventually notice my charger had a shortage and wouldn’t work no matter how many ways i twisted it around.

Feeling Cornered…

Now my laptops on 5%, the walls are closing in on me. I thought “Is this it?…Am i going to drop the ball?…am i going to break this momentum me and Kyle worked hard to build up??” What on earth can i do without my laptop with all the essentials needed. A voice came to my head “be water, my friend”

ProductivePlace is a resource hub for productivity. We have a goal to help individuals push the needle forward and solve any problems that’s hindering them from their max potential. It just so happens that all of these problems i was facing was hindering me from my max potential, i needed inspiration on how can i still be productive today. At this moment i was an example of those I’m looking to help.Great wisdom from Bruce Lee

Great wisdom from Bruce Lee

“Be water, my friend” the spirit of Bruce Lee breezed past to say in my head. What that means to me is to be adaptable, change with change and keep flowing. There were several things getting in my way including my laptop shutting down operations, but i’d be damned if i let that stop me from doing something that counts. Water can crash or it can flow…

Like water slipping through the cracks of all of these unfortunate events i grabbed some paper, found a pen and began writing about this epiphany to use as blog to share with others that can relate to days like this. Boom! more inspirational content from productive place, and now I’m at ease.

The times when your on the ropes and everything is going wrong don’t tap out! Remembering to Be Water will help you become optimistic and find creative ideas to pursue your goals no matter whats in your way. Be Unstoppable and keep flowing…”
